Even though the book deals with important issues, it&rsquo;s not too serious. In fact, there are many funny moments! The story is well-balanced, the setting feels real, and the characters are memorable. Plus, you&rsquo;ll have a new perspective on bats after reading it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn&rsquo;t know this story was inspired by a real artist, Ana Mendieta. Now I&rsquo;m curious to learn more about her. I appreciate how this book sheds light on forgotten events and people, which feels empowering.
