Q: What is your book about and what inspired you to write this book?
A: This book is the third in the Temptation Series and follows the romance story of the older brother mentioned in Book 1. Originally from the island of Barbados, Olivia moved to Canada a couple of years ago, where she now permanently resides. Having met and made new friends from varying countries and cultures has been the main inspiration behind this book and series.
Q: When did you start writing, and what made you decide to publish this book?
A: I started writing more than ten years ago and have since unpublished all of my earlier works. Most recently, I have found the inspiration to start writing again.
Q: Can you tell us a bit about the other books in The Temptation Series and how they compare to A Blazing Attraction?
A: Absolutely! So, Book 1 is A Tempting Distraction — that’s Mina and Bastien’s story. It’s very much a forbidden, opposites-attract kind of romance. Mina’s impulsive and fiercely independent, and Bastien is all career-focused and rigid. Their story is more about navigating family expectations and ambition while trying not to fall for each other… but, of course, they do.
Book 2, A Sizzling Connection, is a bit spicier and edgier. Charlotte and Camden start off as friends with benefits at Oxford, so there’s a lot of tension and playful chaos. The focus is on their arrangement slowly unraveling as emotions creep in, and dealing with reputations and past baggage.
Then comes Book 3, A Blazing Attraction, which shifts the vibe a bit. Valentina and Cameron are next-door neighbours in LA, so it’s more of a “healing, getting-over-the-past” romance. There’s still heat, but it’s also about learning to trust again and building something real after heartbreak. The setting is very different too — Oxford in the first two versus the glitzy, career-driven LA world in this one.
So, each book has its own flavor: Book 1 is dramatic and sweeping, Book 2 is playful and spicy, and Book 3 is intimate, tender, and about healing, though it still has all the attraction and chemistry readers love.
Q: Which character was the most fun—or most challenging—to write, and why?
A: Cameron’s character was the most fun to write because of his evolution of moving to an entirely different country and navigating through all of the excitement and anxiety that such a new journey brings.
Q: What themes or messages do you hope readers take away from your book?
A: Communication is key, believe in love, sometimes things fall apart so that better things can come together.
Q: Were there any real-life experiences that influenced your story or characters?
A: Having lived in London for some years, and most recently my relocation from Barbados to Canada
Q: What question do you wish readers would ask you about the book?
A: “Is this the end for Cameron and Valentina, or will they be featured in other upcoming books in the series?”
No, this is definitely not the end of these two, as they will be mentioned in other stories, as well as bonus content chapters as with books 1 and 2
Q: Do you have a favorite quote or moment from the book you’d like to share?
A: It’s a full circle moment when coming to the end of the story , the Main male character is able to get the closure he needs from the events of his past.
Q: What was the biggest challenge in writing or publishing it?
A: Writing comes quite easily to me. The biggest challenge is getting my book in front of the right audience. As great as any novel can be, if it does not reach the audience, then it fails its purpose.
Q: What’s next for you as a writer?
A: I have already completed book four in the series, and it is currently being beta edited and proofread and will be published in early 2026. I am in the process of writing book 5 in the series.

This was my second book by Olivia Tasker and I was happy that this book kept my attention as much as the first.
Being the second book in a series it read like a stand-alone. However, If you read the first book you will notice it is like seeing the same story but from a flip point of view.
When we meet our two leads Charlotte Parker and Camden Smith both are dealing with two very different problems.
For Camden, he is trying to live a fun life without causing another scandal like he did once with a sex tape. He is also out to prove he is better than people give him credit for. To this, he has decided to only allow a few close friends into his inner circle and to only have one-night stands or hookups. Till he meets Charlotte.
