Have you ever wondered what it would look like if humanity — fragile, underestimated, and overlooked — suddenly discovered it was destined for something far greater than anyone imagined? In Goddess of the Empire, Nedjyna Hyppolite brings that question to life through a breathtaking universe where cosmic forces clash, ancient guardians rise, and a young girl becomes the beacon of hope for an entire planet.
Drawing inspiration from personal loss, childhood promises, biblical mythology, anime influences, and her lifelong love of fantasy, Hyppolite weaves an emotionally rich, action-packed saga centered on Aella May Scarlet — a girl raised in danger, forged in power, and chosen by the Creator Himself.

Earth — dismissed by the universe as weak, powerless, and devoid of Mana — becomes the unexpected heart of a cosmic conflict. While other races wield elemental powers and divine gifts, humans rely on their greatest asset: intelligence. Their ingenuity becomes their path to survival… until the universe learns they are not alone.
When invaders threaten Earth, a mysterious girl arrives in Sion City: Aella May Scarlet, rightful heir of the powerful Pearls family and the chosen Guardian of the Creator. Raised in the deadly “Eclipse Kingdom” and trained by the strongest man alive, Aella possesses strength that defies the imagination — and a destiny that could save humanity.
But her mission is far from simple. To protect the Empire, Aella must gather her companions, uncover the Creator’s final hidden Star, and challenge forces that have existed since the dawn of the universe. Book I begins this sweeping cosmic saga — filled with action, mythology, deep friendships, and a heroine impossible to forget.
Q&A with Nedjyna Hyppolite
Q: What is your book about and can you explain the world and mythology of the series?
A: Goddess of the Empire follows Aella Mayen Scarlet — a girl chosen at birth by the Creator to be Earth’s Guardian and the future “Goddess of the Empire.” Book I begins with her arrival in Sion City, where she unexpectedly meets her biological father, Glacier Pearl, the second-strongest man on Earth. At Oasis School, Aella discovers that the companions meant to join her on her mission — the search for the Creator’s Last Star — are being bullied and dismissed as the weakest F-rankers. Their mistreatment sparks her determination to help them rise to their true potential.
The larger story spans the creation of the universe itself — from the jealousy of the guardians, to the rebellion led by Zeus, to the Creator forming a new faction of protectors. Humanity, gifted with intelligence instead of elemental power, becomes the heart of this cosmic conflict. Aella’s journey ties all these threads together as she leads her companions across worlds in a quest filled with adventure, danger, and destiny.
Q: What inspired you to write this book?
A: This story is deeply personal. When I was young, my older sister and I made a promise: she would become an actress, and I would write the story she would one day star in. After losing her in an earthquake, I fell into a long depression and forgot that childhood dream — until, years later, a song she loved brought everything flooding back. That moment inspired the creation of Aella, who is based directly on her strength, beauty, and spirit.
My creativity grew through the anime I loved and a group of idols whose sci-fi storytelling fascinated me. Then, one day, I came across my Bible and reread my favorite verse in Revelation. It sparked something electric — suddenly the universe of Goddess of the Empire began forming in my mind. That’s when I promised myself I would finally write the fantasy adventure my sister and I once dreamed about.
Q: When did you start writing, and what made you decide to publish this book?
A: I embarked on this literary journey when I was fourteen years old. I had an intense love for books and writing. Stories always captivated me.
Reading and writing have not just been hobbies for me; they are my lifelong passions. I love exploring every genre, each offering me new adventure. However, what resonated the most with me were the enchanting realms of fantasy, the thrill of action, and the excitement of adventure books, where dragons soar and heroes rise.
After years of dreaming and waiting, I finally mustered the courage to share my voice with the world because I wanted to forget my fear of critique and just let everyone see the worlds and magic that unfolds within these pages.
Q: Which character was the most fun—or most challenging—to write, and why?
A: It’s four of them: Aella, Adam, Shion and Yun,
Aella, Adam, Shion, and Yun are a quartet famous for their mischief, which causes a whirlwind of chaos and laughter. With their mischievous personalities, creating their scenes proved to be quite a challenge for me. Even as the writer, every moment I spent writing their scenes together transformed quiet my environments into vibrant, joyful space.
Even their own enemies tried their best to avoid crossing their path, as they didn’t want to be ridiculed and mocked by the four.
Wherever they went, they left behind a trail of chaos, especially when they combined their creative mischief. The amount of stress I went through writing Adam’s scenes was immense. Their schemes and playful ingenuity could turn the most mundane situation into a wildly unpredictable adventure.
This relentless chaos inevitably prompted other characters to intervene, such as the sensible Kye, the thoughtful Nian, the wise Kathleen, and the cautious Aisha. They constantly tried their best to separate this mischievous group, whenever they arrive in new planets. Each attempt at separation only served to highlight the joy and unpredictability that Aella, Adam, Shion, and Yun brought to every adventure.
Q: What themes or messages do you hope readers take away from your book?
A: In Goddess of the Empire, planet Earth and humans are greatly underestimated by many races of the universe. Humans are not as strong as the other races. They faced unjust hatred and relentless attacks from every race, without being able to fight back.
Even though human was the weakest race, they possessed a powerful asset: Intelligence. This unique gift, was bestowed upon them by their creator, has allowed humans to evolve in ways that other races never anticipated. As the other races realize that what they saw as a weak species is actually growing stronger, humans begin to unite for their defense. They set aside their differences and recognize that their true power lies in working together. What they create is nothing short of awe-inspiring; an innovation and resilience that leave even the most advanced races in disbelief. The message I wish to impart to my readers is: Together, we are invincible. We have barely scratched the surface of our capabilities. As long as we use our minds and stand united, we will achieve victory and triumph.
Q: Were there any real-life experiences that influenced your story or characters?
A: My book is a complete work of fantasy; however, it also reflects elements of reality. It addresses issues such as bullying, mental health challenges, fights, family abandonment, betrayal—topics that we face in our everyday lives.
Q: What question do you wish readers would ask you about the book?
A: In the book, Aella is the protagonist. Given her immense responsibility as the goddess of the Earth Empire, and considering that she and the Fs are quite young, I want my readers to ask: Will Aella and the Fs truly be able to find the last star? Will they be able to forge their own path in the universe?
Q: Do you have a favorite quote or moment from the book you’d like to share?
A: Oh, yes. On book V When Adam, Shion, Aella, and Yun gathered around the demigod, laughing loudly as they mocked him so much that they made him cry: “You’re nothing but a god with a lowercase ‘g’!” sksk. Those words struck deep at the poor guy, that he could only look down as he fought back his tears. The once-proud demigod reduced to an emotional wreck. He became traumatized by the mischievous group.
Q: What was the biggest challenge in writing or publishing it?
A: I believe many writers would agree that writing is the easy part; the real challenge lies in marketing your story to the world. I would like to thank “Wrote a Book” for assisting small writers like myself in promoting our work on their website. I truly appreciate it!
Q: What’s next for you as a writer?
A: Goddess of the Empire is meant to be a long, immersive journey, which is why I’ve divided it into multiple arcs. After countless months of revising and refining each chapter, I’m excited to share that Arc II will be available on either 11/11/2025 or 11/12/2025. I’m currently deep into completing Arcs III and IV.
I also have a short romance novel, Seduction of a Husband, available now on Amazon.
Beyond the Goddess of the Empire arcs, I’m also developing two new books:
Slay the Unknown
“This story follows the life of a young orphan boy named Lumiere, who is given a second chance in a completely different world. However, contrary to the happy life he expected, he discovers that his new family and all the countries have been massacred by mysterious beings whose origins and intentions are unknown.
As a former assassin in his past life Lumiere didn’t let grief overpower hi, he must learn and grow stronger to confront and SLAY THE UNKNOWN.“
Twins: The Whole Kingdom Can Hear Your Thoughts
“Step into the captivating world of two best friends who share a brotherly bond, having grown up together in an orphanage surrounded by their fellow siblings.
Suddenly, their lives take an extraordinary turn when a divine goddess appears before them, urging them to save her world. When they open their eyes, they realize they have been reborn as twins—a girl and a boy—in the goddess’s world, which closely resembles a mystery and action book they read during their time in the orphanage.
As they navigate this enchanting yet daunting new reality, everyone around the twins begin to hear whispers of their thoughts echoing around them, capturing the attention of the emperor, empress, dukes, duchesses, commoners, scholars, and priests.“
This is just to beginning. I will do my best!!

Excerpt from the Book
In a barren land enveloped by an eerie silence, two men, an elderly woman, and a small girl stood amid a scene of utter devastation. Unexpectedly, the taller figure, Otiz, exhaled a long, weary sigh, breaking the stillness.
“…. Aella,” he called out softly.
“Mm,” the little girl replied, her demeanor calm and collected. As Otiz’s gaze ascertained the chaos wrought by Aella, he spoke again, incredulity tinting his voice.
“I cannot believe you actually destroyed an entire kingdom.”
The little girl, her sharp, cold eyes surveying the landscape that now resembled a wasteland, turned her gaze towards her master. With a flat tone devoid of remorse, she responded, “You told me to do it.”
Otiz’s jaw hung agape, his eyes widening in astonishment as he stared at Aella. “……!”
Otiz sighed for the third time and said “Haaa forget it. Listen Aella remember, this is the star you must protect. You are their Goddess. For you to learn the true, you must embark on a grand journey to seek out the creator’s last STAR. However, this quest will require the support and companionship of others. Gather those who can aid you in this important mission.”
Aella looked up at Otiz and responded, “I understand”.
